Steven S.
Originally born in Houston, Steve grew up in Cedar Park where he graduated high school before attending UTSA. In 2009, Steve joined the Austin Police Department as a dispatcher, later gaining his EMT license and working as a Medic for Austin/Travis County EMS.
Naturally drawn to the outdoors, Steve secured a coveted position as a Park Ranger. To help further expand his skills, he added a variety of certifications to his repertoire, including Water Safety Instructor, Lifeguard Instructor, Kayak Water Rescuer, High-Ropes Rescuer, and several others. As a volunteer for Austin Recreation Centers across the city, Steve led numerous programs for community youth, including rock climbing, spelunking, archery, fishing, kayaking, snorkeling, rocketry, trailside astronomy, and more.
In 2015, Steve co-founded an educator-based company with a fellow Ranger that provides NASA research material to schools and universities across the globe. Following the success of his entrepreneurial efforts, Steve pursued his interest in aviation and obtained his Private Pilot License in 2015 and Instrument Rating in 2017. Then in 2019, he founded a software company utilizing AI speech-to-text recognition to monitor first responder dispatch and alert secondary responder services of pertinent events in real time.
Since 2020, Steve has been working alongside his clients in the restoration industry as an Emergency Response Manager, providing mitigation services to individuals and businesses for both local losses and national catastrophes. During this time, Steve gained in-depth knowledge of insurance policies and claims processes, and is excited to apply this experience as a Producer for Waterloo Insurance.
When he isn't busy flying clients around the country, fishing at the coast or visiting friends' ranches in the Hill Country, Steve enjoys spending time relaxing with his newlywed and plans to start a family soon.
